AzFCA ALL STARS
The Surprise Recreational Facilities has hosted the AzFCA All Star Football Festival since the 2004-2005 football season. Surprise, Arizona is home to the Kansas City Royals and Texas Ranges spring training facilities providing Arizona high school football players an experience second to none.
The All Star Festival is organized by football coaches to honor the accomplishments of Arizona high school senior student athletes. Over the past six years, the board of directors has been working diligently to improve the events surrounding the games. Selected players and coaches are housed and feed by area hotels and restaurants throughout the five day event. Participants take part in activities every night of the week including a swimming party, movie night at the stadium, and a game day modeled after NCAA Division I programs.
The future is bright. We have many plans in which to honor our athletes and provide additional exposure to college coaches in an attempt to help place more student athletes in college. We continue to work with the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) and Cox 7 will begin televising the All Star game in 2010.
The AzFCA extends its greatest appreciation to Mark Coronado and his staff at Surprise for supporting the advancement of Arizona high school football. The week long event would not be possible without their tireless efforts.
