AzFCA RECRUITING FAIR / COMBINE AND ALL STAR / STATE SELECTION

DATE: Saturday December 1, 2012

TIME: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (Times vary, see below)

COST:

  • AzFCA Coaches: Free
  • College Coaches: Free
  • Student Athletes: 5 cans of food

LOCATION: Fairfax High School / 8225 South 59th Avenue / Laveen, AZ 85339

EVENT OVERVIEW:
The AzFCA is proud to present its 5th annual Winter Football Recruiting Fair. Over 125 colleges have attended and over 150 student athletes have received scholarship money.

This is a free event! AzFCA head coaches will setup tables so that college coaches can walk around and discuss graduating senior and junior football student athletes. AzFCA coaches will provide profiles, transcripts and game films of their players. Following the Fair, college coaches will be able to evaluate student athletes in combine events and position drills.

WHAT TO DO:

AzFCA COACHES The Recruiting Fair is being held on the same day as the AzFCA All State and All Star selection process. You may bring two assistants to help with the recruiting fair.

AzFCA Active Membership fees will be accepted on the day of the event for membership from April 1, 2012 through March 31, 2013. To become an Active AzFCA member school Click Here.

What to do:

  1. Become an Active AzFCA member school (if not already)
  2. Register for the fair (provide: 1. name 2. school 3. phone 4. email)
  3. Register your players (Class of 2013 and 2014 ONLY) for the combine. No individual player registration will be accepted. Please send us an Excel file of the players that want to attend the combine (provide: 1. school 2. names 3. grad year 4. positions)
    • The combine is FREE. However we ask each particiant to bring 5 cans of food for entrance.
    • There will not be any kicking or snapping drills at this combine. We will coordiante a specialist combine in the near future.
    • Only the first 200 current juniors and seniors (class of 2013 and 2014) will be able to attend the combine. Register now!
    • All combine participants must wear a mouth piece during position drills
    • All student athletes must bring a Combine Registration Form/Waiver to registration.

    • For those Sections that have not voted
    • Location: Cafeteria then breakout rooms
  • 8:30 am - 10:00 am All Division Selection (Section Reps Only)
    • Location: Cafeteria then breakout rooms
  • 10:00 am - 10:10 am Organizational Meeting (Section Reps Only)
    • Location: cafeteria then breakout room
    • Turn in All Section and Division Team forms to Mike Brown
    • Review Top 25 and AZ vs. SoCal selection process
  • 10:10 am - 1:00 pm Top 25 All State and AZ vs SoCal Selection (Section Reps Only)
    • Location: cafeteria then breakout rooms
    • Lunch provided in selection meeting room at 12:00 pm
    • Lunch provided in Recruiting Fair location at 12:00 pm
    • Submit Top 25 Team and AZ vs SoCal Team Forms to Mike Brown
  • 10:15 am - 11:00 am Recruiting Fair Setup (All AzFCA head coaches and assistant coaches of Section Reps)
    • Location: Cafeteria
  • 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Recruiting Fair (AzFCA head and/or assistant coaches)
    • If you are not a Section Rep, please man your table during this time.
    • If you are a Section Rep and do not need to be in the Top 25 or AZ vs SoCal selection process, please man your table during this time.
    • If you are a Section Rep and will attend the Top 25 and AZ vs CA selection process, please have an assistant coach man your table. You may excuse yourself from the selection meeting when you are done or as needed.
  • 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Break
    • This time is allotted to get back on time if needed.
    • This time allows any Section Reps that were not able to leave the selection meetings before 1:00 pm time to meet with college coaches.
  • 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm Dedicatee Selection / AzFCA General Meeting (All AzFCA head coaches)
    • Location: Cafeteria
    • All star game discussion
  • 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm AzFCA All Star Selection (All AzFCA head coaches)
    • Location: Cafeteria then breakout rooms
    • Submit player forms to Mike Brown when completed
  • 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Junior/Senior Combine and Skills Showcase (AzFCA head coaches are not expected to attend since they will be in the selection meeting.)

What to Bring:

  • Profile Booklets with transcipts and your comments
  • Additional Recruiting material (Game film, articles, etc.)
  • Televisions, DVD players, stands, computers, projectors, extension cords, power strips, etc.

COLLEGE COACHES The AzFCA extends an invitation to you and your staff to attend our Fifth Annual Recruiting Fair on December 1, 2012 for free. In addition, we are hosting our Third Annual Junior and Senior Combine and Skills Showcase. Over the last three years we have had over 125 colleges in attendance and assisted over 150 student athletes in obtaining scholarship money. We average 80 high school coaches from Arizona at the Fair providing profiles, transcripts and game films to college coaches.

What to do:

  2. Contact us with any questions or concerns
  3. Attend the Recruiting Fair and Combine

College Coach Schedule (December 1, 2012):

  • 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Recruiting Fair
  • 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm Junior and Senior Combine/Skills Showcase

STUDENTS AND PARENTS Players and parents CAN NOT attend the recruiting fair. Head coaches will provide college coaches your profiles and transcripts.

Players and parents CAN attend the Combine/Skills Showcase for free (Please bring 5 cans of food for entry). Only parents of student athletes will be permitted to prevent solicitors of recruiting services. Parents must enter with their child. Detailed recruiting information will be provided so that graduating seniors know exactly what options are available to them and what to do now. Juniors will be provided information on how to prepare for the Spring Evaluation Period and 2013 football season.

What to do:

  1. Register for the Combine. Only the first 200 current seniors and juniors (Class of 2013 and 2014) will be admitted. ONLY YOUR HIGH SCHOOL COACH CAN REGISTER YOU. We will not accept individual registration. Inform your head coach that you want to attend the combine and have him send us an email (azfca@azfca.com). Have your coach provide the following in his email to us: 1. your name 2. your school 3. your phone 4. your email 5. your position 6. your grad year
  2. Download, print, complete and bring Waiver Form to the combine registration.
  3. Bring 5 cans of food for entry into the combine.
  4. There will not be any kicking or snapping drills at this combine. We will coordiante a specialist combine in the near future.
